Picquot Ware is made to last, but if at any time you would like it repolished or new handles fitted
Picquot offer a refurbishment service which is well worth doing. Especially if you have an original
set as it may sell at auction for more than the price of a current set. The better the condition
the more your set may be worth. Handles are drilled by us on jigs which are set up for the most common location of the screws. However, we have found that over the years there have been minor adjustments to both the handles and to the machining of Picquotware. This means that we can not guarantee that the handles will automatically fit your Item of Picquotware and some adjustment may be required.
The screws that hold the handles over time may bind with the metal of the Picquotware item and snap off if
excessive force is used. |

Cleaning instructions
Picquot Ware is made in magnailium, a specially developed alloy which is polished not plated,
and the mirror finish is easily maintained.
Wash in CLEAN, HOT WATER and polish dry gently with a soft
dry quality cloth or silver cloth. Do NOT put in a dishwasher. Do NOT use any detergent
on the OUTSIDE of the article as this will dull it down. You can use Steradent®, washing powder
in warm water or even brillo soap pads on the INSIDE to get rid of the tannin stains. Take care to
keep the spillage off the outside of the article.
If the OUTSIDE of the article becomes discoloured, You could try using Reckitt's Silvo® (duraglit wadding).
This is very messy, so use old washup gloves. It depends on whether your set is badly scratched or not. If
you use the wadding, rub hard and clean off with a soft good quality clean yellow duster. Rinse in CLEAN,
HOT WATER and polish dry gently with a soft dry quality cloth or silver cloth. |
